Information
Association: “The Association of Seaside Cities and Municipalities” with its seat in Gdańsk, which brings together nearly 30 coastal local governments from the entire Polish coast, has existed since 1991 and is a major opinion-forming force cooperating with the state administration for the economic and cultural development of the coast. The supporting member is the Marshal’s Office of the Pomeranian Voivodeship. The statutory activity of the Association focuses, among others, on actively conducting promotional activities in the field of maritime economy and tourism, as well as environmental protection, both on a national and international scale. As an association of local governments, it represents local and regional interests at the central administration level. The Association’s activities are directed not only to local government activists, but also to members of parliament, ministers and the chief, central and local bodies of state administration. Through cooperation with parliamentary committees and relevant ministries, it supports and initiates activities for the coast and helps solve the problems of coastal municipalities.
